Supporting professionals
Working with trauma can be complex. It can raise questions about what you are seeing, what you are missing, how to respond, and how to look after yourself while doing the work.
I offer training, supervision and consultation for practitioners working with children, young people, adults and families affected by trauma, violence, displacement, war and conflict.
My approach is relational, reflective and grounded in practice. I bring more than a decade of experience across clinical, community and humanitarian settings in Australia and internationally.

Supervision is a space to reflect, think and be together.
I offer relational and reflective supervision for practitioners working with trauma, children and families, including practitioners working in complex and settings with limited resources.
We can explore the work, your therapeutic relationships, what is happening for you and your client, and the wider systems and contexts in which you are working.
I bring particular experience in trauma, therapeutic play, child protection, domestic and family violence, migration and displacement, and humanitarian mental health and psychosocial support.
My aim is to support you to develop your practice while also creating space for your own wellbeing, curiosity and professional growth.

I provide training that brings together trauma theory, practical skills and reflective practice.
My training draws on my clinical experience in trauma, therapeutic play and child and adolescent mental health, as well as my work in humanitarian and culturally diverse settings.
I have designed and delivered training for both specialist and non-specialist practitioners, adapting content to different cultural and professional contexts. I aim to make complex ideas accessible and relevant to the work you are actually doing.
Training can include trauma-informed practice, therapeutic play, working with children affected by trauma, attachment, child development, and supporting people affected by violence, displacement, war and conflict.

I work with organisations that want to work meaningfully with children.
You might be developing a program, designing research, evaluating a service, or looking for better ways to understand and engage children. I can help you think about how play, creativity and child-centred approaches can be part of that work.
My experience spans clinical practice, research, humanitarian settings and community programs. I have worked with children affected by trauma, displacement and war, and have supported organisations and practitioners to develop approaches that are playful, accessible, culturally responsive and grounded in children's experiences.
I can provide consultation around:
Play-based approaches to research with children
Designing child-centred research methods and activities
Using play to support children to communicate their experiences and perspectives
Developing programs and services that meaningfully involve children
Adapting play-based approaches for culturally diverse and humanitarian settings
Supporting practitioners and organisations to think about trauma, safety and participation when working with children
My approach is collaborative. I bring my clinical and research experience, while working closely with you to understand your organisation, your goals and the children you are seeking to work alongside.
Children deserve more than to be asked what they think. They deserve meaningful ways to show us.
